A pioneer of Grime music and one of the founding members of chart topping group Roll Deep, Target’s journey started in the Garage scene with Pay As You Go Cartel and has led him to prime time slots of BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra as a DJ.
His Monday – Thursday BBC Radio 1Xtra slot delivers the best of new music from a range of genres from R&B, UK Rap, Grime, Drum & Bass & Hip Hop, with his Radio 1 slot on Saturday evenings following a similar mantra.
His versatile selections have made him a go to DJ for club and festival bookings alike, with Target in high demand up and down the country.
Target releases his debut book ‘Grime Kids’ on June 14th, charting legendary stories and moments in grime music, as well as investigating the social aspects behind the culture, his personal journey from a young grime kid and growing up with the likes of Wiley and discovering Dizzee Rascal, to being a member of two of the most influential collectives and experiencing both underground and mainstream success with Roll Deep, through to Target’s position today as a National Radio broadcaster.
