Kosi Kompeta – Marketing Manager, Parlophone Records (Warner Music Group)
Kosi Sompeta is a Marketing Manager at Parlophone Records (Warner Music Group) currently working with a range of domestic and international acts across the Drill, Hip-Hop/Rap & R&B genres.
Since officially embarking into the Music Industry at 19 as a Marketing Intern, Kosi has had the opportunity to shadow/witness the making of innovative campaigns under the Parlophone Powerhouse, such as Kano, Coldplay & GRM Records to name a few. Whilst honing his skills, he later went on to lead & manage campaigns such as Dutchavelli, S1mba, Russ Millions, Isaiah Rashad, Hooligan Hefs, Jay1, Rachel Chinouriri, Kam-Bu, Iceé TGM House of Pharaohs+ More
Before heading into a major record label, the passion for pursuing the music industry was birthed during his time studying Stage Management & Technical Theatre Arts at The Brit School. Being immersed in such a diverse community of creative minds & talents, the mission of wanting to create a platform which collaborates, showcases & develops artist of multidiscipline was birthed.
In search of the building blocks to do so, Kosi went on to pursue a BA Honours Degree in Marketing at Birmingham City University in 2016. Whilst doing that, Stage Managing & Asst. Coordinating Headline Shows under the I AM NEXT PLATFORM across key U.K x U.S centric live moments for the likes of, Blacc Youngsta, Coi Leray, Smoke Purp, G4 Boyz, Jay Critch, Sahbabi, Novelist (+ more), in efforts of bridging two prominent cultural movements. All of which led to formally starting his career within the music business 2018 – balancing both degree, career & not looking back.
Kosi’s passion lies in finding innovative ways of connecting the art with the audience, delivering creative campaigns & ultimately creating a bridge between two worlds of understanding.
