What’s On… Jammerz & Friendz @ Omeara, 20/11

Jammerz & Friendz is a new organisation that aims to connect talented creatives through music. Looking to unite the underground jamming music scene with the established gigging scene, Obi Anokwuru breaks down the mission and introduces the talent…

This event is the first of its kind, unique in its unification of the underground jamming music scene and the well established gigging music scene. They have already garnered the support of a number of music industry stakeholders, including Youth Music, Communion Music, and Omeara. All of this is done to support Youth Music and their goal of changing young people’s lives through music.

The night functions as both a open jam as well as an artist showcase. On Monday 20th November, Jammerz and Friendz will open with a collective music jam by the biggest underground music jamming collectives in London, (Mezzo’s CornerPeng Femme JamThe Five Points ProjectLA Live Nights) who will, in pioneering spirit, collectively be creating purely improvised music from the soul, live on the Omeara stage.

The evening is then concluded by a soulful artist showcase comparable to Mahalia Presents.

Iyamah: Iyamah is a Brighton-born singer, songwriter who makes music for the soul. Her debut single ‘Cryptic Love’ speaks for itself and since then, her latest soulful musical releases have been nothing short of excellence! Having performed alongside Kojey Radical and My Nu Leng, supported Mahalia and Masego, appeared on BBC Introducing, and with a sold out headline Omeara show already under her belt, this soul singer is most definitely going to wow us! We can’t wait to see her talents, live and in the flesh.

Morgan Munroe : Morgan Munroe is a singer and songwriter from Leicester whose sweet and soulful voice is like none other. Her lyrics are raw and captivating and her unique experimental sound will have you catching a new vibe! With an award-winning album under her belt and collaborations with artists such as Joss Stone and OMAR, she has a lot to offer! We can’t wait to see her perform.

Bianca Baz: Bianca Baz is a singer, songwriter and composer from London who sings soulful and R&B infused songs that inspire and uplift, with a unique and soothing voice. Featured in Wonderland Magazine, and showcased by SBTV, she will now be gracing the Omeara stage with her band to bring you a special soulful experience!
