About: Jamal Woon is an evolving figure in the music realm. Originating from South London, his early ventures saw him directing music videos during his teenage years. As he embraced his own artistry, notable achievements followed, with features on national radio playlists and a debut performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Building on this momentum, Jamal has now channeled his talents into music production, letting his artist side enrich this new focus.

He’s been instrumental in moulding the sound of global R&B sensation, Flo, alongside industry powerhouses such as MNEK, Kabba, Tre Jean-Marie, RELYT and Ryan Ashley. Beyond this, Jamal’s collaborative spirit shines, having recently been spotted weaving sonic tapestries in the studio with R&B artists like Alex Vaughn, Justine Skye, JoJo, and Josh Levi to name a few.

Drawing from a diverse array of influences, from Musiq Souldchild, Lauryn Hill to Timbaland, Jamal’s music is described as “the fusion of grime culture married with the soul of R&B”. This unique sound has earned nods from luminaries like Mistajam, DJ Ace, Stormzy & Lily Allen underscoring his industry recognition.

As Jamal continues his evolving career with an emphasis on personal growth, he adeptly takes on roles ranging from singer and writer to producer and mentor. With a deep-seated passion for music and a keen eye for future possibilities, Jamal Woon is actively shaping his legacy, capturing the attention of the global stage.
