Newsflash! Apply for Sony’s Annual A&R Academy Programme

Sony Music UK are opening applications for its annual A&R Academy programme.  We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about music and culture to join our vibrant community. A&R is the part of the record label that is responsible for scouting new talent and then commercially developing that talent. A&R act as a liaison between the artist, artist management and the record label. A&Rs oversee the recording process and assist with the marketing and promotion of the artist. You will nurture and help develop the artist.

Sony Music is career defining. You will be empowered to bring your best as part of a high performing team, shaping what’s next in a way that creates impact. You will start with your fellow interns from across the UK business, allowing you to mobilise your ideas and knowledge, champion positive change and build support systems that will last you a lifetime.

Opportunities span across 3 different labels within the business: RCA, Columbia and Ministry of Sound. Successful candidates will start their 12-month internship in March 2026, and all roles are based in our Kings Cross offices in London and are paid at London Living Wage.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • We have 3 roles available within our flagship labels: ColumbiaRCA and Ministry of Sound
  • This is a 12-month paid opportunity that includes hands-on A&R training
  • The role will start in March 2026 and end in March 2027

How to apply:

  • Visit https://careers.sonymusic.com/early-careers/ to explore the job listings and submit your application
  • You will have 2 weeks to apply, and you are asked to create a video cover letter, so take your time!
  • Make sure to research the role and the label to ensure your application reflects your knowledge and passion.

What we are looking for:

  • A passionate and enthusiastic music lover
  • A clear understanding of what an A&R team does, with a commitment to making this your dream job
  • A genuine love for the RCA, Columbia, or Ministry roster
  • An eagerness to attend gigs or events to discover new talent, staying ahead of trends in the music industry

Applications are open from 10am on Monday 10th November until 10am on Monday 24th November.

This is your chance to shape your impact on Sony Music and beyond.

If you are passionate about putting creators first and ready to embark on the next chapter of your music business career, head to the jobs page here to find out more on and to apply to your chosen role.
