Flames Collective were invited to perform at the Newham Unlocked, a festival of free events, performances and workshops, curated and produced in partnership with local arts organisations.

Flames members sang covers form Jorja Smith, Arianna Grande and Tina Turner. It was an excellent performance and the first of many more to come!

Are you interested in joining or know anyone that would be perfect for Flames Collective? Email contact@udmusic.org or message us on Instagram.

From a series of songwriting camps, Flames gives 20+ young people with singing talent an entry into the world of the professional music industry.

Participants benefit from year-round weekly sessions and weekend or holiday camps offering expertise in vocal technique, songwriting, performance skills and the opportunity to record and perform at live gigs.

The regular rehearsals help mentors signpost candidates to more advanced creative programmes run by UD – check the Incubator programme – which gives promising emerging artists tailored support. Such has been the success of the Collective, the Flames released their debut four-track EP in 2019 to much applause.

With an unparalleled track record of supporting Black and culturally diverse talent, we aim to support young people in what could be the beginning of their journey in music
