UD Live Room Sessions 1: Chrissy Day

UD Live Room Sessions is a new series, cinematically shot at Talent House, spotlighting both our new HQ and the new artists you need on your radar. Kicking things off we have Chrissy Day, who draws from the alt R&B school, offering up a contemporary blueprint for versatile melodies, vocals and songwriting techniques.

Location: Talent House, E15 2QS
Videography: Hyabel Kadine @hya.bel and Adam Gregory @Adam.g_210 for Base Productions @Baseproductions_
Performance: Chrissy Day @chrissyx_dayx
Piano: Jacob Baima @itsjazco
Recorded & mixed by: Michael Amarteifio @ginka.tmp

About Chrissy Day: Of Jamaican, Egyptian and Ethiopian heritage, Chrissy draws inspiration from a number of artists, current and classic – think Sade and Anita Baker to Audrey Nuna and Kehlani. Keen to establish herself as a songwriter, in 2023 she performed for UD at The Great Escape, was highlighted by Complex UK as an artist to watch, joined Kojey Radical’s South African writing camp and signed her first EP deal, collaborating with Ray Records on ‘Understatement’. Crowd favourite, ‘Outside’, as heard in UD Live Room Session 1, is due for release soon (pre-save ‘Outside’ here https://ditto.fm/outside-chrissy-day).

About UD Live Room: Filmed in our 31sq meter live room, with separate vocal booth, connected to two independent control rooms, the live room is equipped with a Mapex LA Mars Drumkit, a Yamaha Baby Grand and a plethora of instruments by Fender, Yamaha, Nord and Arturia upon request.
