What’s On… Record A&R Panel, March 6th @ Talent House

On Wednesday 6th March, host Channette Carleo (Radio Producer, Kiss Fresh) will be joined by Mel Ijieh (A&R Manager, 5k Records/ Sony Music UK), Jay Radia (A&R, Relentless Records) & Zach Fox (A&R Manager, EMI Records)…

Meet the guests…

Zach Fox is A&R Manager at EMI Records. After graduating from Durham University with First Class Honours in Music, Zach entered the industry in 2020, just before the pandemic, as an A&R Intern at Polydor. After his internship, Zach moved over to EMI in 2021, where he has now been for almost three years. He has recently been promoted to A&R Manager and is currently working on the next Loyle Carner album. 

Jay Radia is an A&R at Relentless Records. Initially studying at the Notting Hill Academy of Music, he has now worked in A&R for the last two years and has signed acts such as Strandz & Songer as well as working on artists like Lewis Fitzgerald, Comfy, Tyrone & more. 

Mel Ijieh is A&R Manager at 5K Records/ Sony Music UK. Mel entered the industry via writing for Blacpire and Mixtape Madness, before interning at Believe during her time at the University of Nottingham. Following subsequent stints at Ferocious Talent, Metropolis Songs and RCA (for the Sony Music A&R Academy in 2021), she was scouted by 5K Records as a junior A&R. Now A&R Manager, Mel also manages a variety of creatives under her EJ Management company.  

Host: Channette Carleo is an Award-Winning Music Radio Producer currently nominated for Best Radio Producer by the Young Music Boss Awards 2024. Having produced shows for MistaJam, Snoochie Shy, Big Zuu and many more, Channette has over a decade of experience at major radio networks and currently works at Kiss FM as lead daytime Radio Producer on the Black Music Network Kiss Fresh.
