ShezAr biography
Hackney-born soul siren ShezAr of the 21st Century and a well seasoned force within the UK music scene. With 15+ years experience in the music industry, ShezAr is well known for her artistry, eclectic vocal ability, musicianship, vocal leadership, choral arranging & directing.
From as early as circa 2003, ShezAr’s vocal coaching skill set has seen her train, nurture and develop vocal groups – such as UD Vocal Collective & House Gospel Choir; from grass-roots level, all the way to professional performing, vocalists/touring acts.
ShezAr’s entrepreneurial journey has been nothing short of amazing with the launching of her very own vocal coaching / wellbeing brand; Vocal-Trepeneur (VTL) – formerly known as Ms BAALANCE Vocal Sessions (MBVS) -, that services a diverse roster of emerging/ established clients; as well as its sister brand Vocal-Trepeneur Presents: All Things Vocal (ATV), which provides a Safe Space for fun-filled and uplifting weekly sessions for a Community of regular members and newcomers.
Additionally, ShezAr is the Founding Creative Choral Director of her very own vocal group – The Soul Sirens (SSS) who has worked with the likes of Jools Holland, Stormzy, Ray BLK, Ghetts, Rudimental, OBONGJAYER, Not3s, Bugzy Malone, Black British Theatre Awards, Sky Arts, Young Vic Theatre: YV Music Jam Nights, WizKid + more.
Within her career, ShezAr has toured globally with acts such as Naughty Boy, Wretch32, HURTS and many other acts, as a guest artist/ vocalist & frontwoman, from which derived her “Hostess with The Mostess” chops that landed her a weekly residency at the popular London Troy Bar Open-Mic Live Night as well as The Curtains Red Rooster Saturday Night Entertainment accompanied by The BlackSmiths band.
With all these harnessed skills and attributes, ShezAr still managed to embellish on the artist brand development of ShezAr; which she put into action by teaming up with her longtime business partner, Chella Mac, in the Co-Ownership of Queendom Entertainment Ltd (QDMEnt) – that not only acts as a Vocal Contracting Music Talent Agency but as an Independent Record Label – that published ShezArs leading Single ‘Close To Heart’ in 2018 followed by her Groundbreaking EP titled ‘ESD’ in 2019.
In 2020, ShezAr surprised her supporters with her fabulous appearance as a contestant on The Voice UK, and kicked it off with a banging Blind Audition performance of ‘Pride A Deeper Love’, that earned her a 4-Chair spin and haggle between all four coaches. ShezAr joined Team Tom making it all the way to the Knockouts where she left her mark by giving a stellar performance of Joe Cockers ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’.
Being the talented, skilful, hardworking team-player that she is, there was no doubt that ShezAr would pioneer & create her own Fempire all whilst simultaneously building upon her credible artistry.
It is clear to anyone lucky enough to have the privilege of working with – or for – ShezAr, that with every step she takes and every move she makes her star is in ascendance.
