On Wednesday 4th June, TRENCH took over the Strongroom Bar in Shoreditch for a Grime 3.0 showcase as part of the inaugural SXSW London festival. A day and night of epic scenes, Photographer Patrick Sear was on hand to capture the shutdown.
Curated by TRENCH brand manager/ UD marketing consultant, Chantelle Fiddy and Complex UK‘s EIC and TRENCH co-founder Joseph ‘JP’ Patterson, the showcase celebrated the multifaceted sounds of grime in 2025.
Partnering with Balamii, Travs Presents, UD Music and GIRLSofGRIME, the line-up celebrated the new-gen innovators and stalwarts alike. Hosted at Strongrooms, in east London, not far from the birth place of the genre, over two stages—one indoors, the other outside—with a queue stretching down the road, this ended up being one of the hardest events at SXSW London to actually get into.
