UD are proud to announce the next three artists taking part in the all-new Emerging Artist Residency — a dedicated programme designed to champion the next wave of musical talent via complimentary studio access. This September we welcome Imisi, Eniola & Mainz 5ive…
Imisi

Singer-songwriter, producer, vocalist and musician Imisi, (born Imisioluwa Peletu), whose full name derived from the Yoruba tongue, meaning ‘Breath of God/ Breath Of Life/ Inspiration of God’. Professionally entering the industry from 2021, has performed across iconic London venues, from Ronnie Scott’s on residencies, supporting renowned musicians across the UK and making a name for herself in renowned vocal industry collectives in London.
Emerging from the vibrant UK soul, gospel and R&B scene, Imisi is developing and embarking on her artistic journey of recording and releasing original music. She blossoms through her soulful vocals, her earnest passion and joy for evocative storytelling, authenticity and genre-blending sound that spans classical and contemporary soul, neo-soul, jazz, Gospel, funk, musical theatre, orchestral, symphonic influences and more.
Imisi recorded her first original song ‘Twenty One (She’s Alright)’, for the process of creating her first cinematic soul autobiographical body of work.
This year, she was a mentee of the renowned 2025 Black Lives In Music cohort, Imisi’s artistry expanded into authentic creativity, with the incredible accomplishment of being spotlighted as one of the 10 Young Producers for Little Simz’ highly anticipated and celebrated Meltdown Festival at Southbank Centre, executively producing two incredible musical events for the incomparable multi-award winning multi hyphenate musician, who happens to be one of her biggest inspirations.
In significant regards to music, Imisi has been blessed to be supported by incredible music organisations such as New Comma for her live recording. She has also received support from Help Musicians and the Royal Society of Musicians. This year, Imisi is one of the 2025 grantees of the PRS Open Fund For Music Creators, grateful to be supported by the PRS Foundation, for the process of creating, discovering and developing original work.
